Welcome to the website for Move More Eat Well, a three year strategic Plan for all public sector partners – and wider – to encourage and support activities that keep people active and healthy in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Our Partners

Cardiff and the Vale Public Services Boards and Regional Partnership Board have developed the Plan together, and pledged to work together to achieve the aim of ensuring our population is healthier by moving more and eating well.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with our public service and third sector partners, schools, colleges and universities to bring about this social movement for change.

Move More Eat Well aims to inspire individuals and organisations to make positive lifestyle changes, creating a social movement for improved health and wellbeing throughout Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. This improved health and wellbeing will increase our resilience both individually and as a community, at a time when increasing resilience has never been more important.

Relevant to all age groups.

Now, more than ever, the advantages of eating healthy and nutritious food and being physically active are key in dealing with the challenges we face. COVID-19 has disrupted all of our lives, and for many has made being active and eating healthily more difficult but now is the perfect opportunity to start afresh and set ourselves a new challenge as we begin to rebuild our new normal.

Our Move More Eat Well Action Plan is relevant to all age groups and outlines ten priority areas which include healthy workplaces, healthy communities, healthy weight services and healthy travel to name a few. We have a simple ethos to establish healthy habits …
